  • Wright Hassall / Sainsburys Credit Card

    Hi all,

I'm new to this but my wife took a card with Sainsburys back in 2003, we ran in to financial difficulties a few years ago and everything fell apart in regards to payments, Sainsbury's recently sold the debt on to Cabot and they are progressing us to court for a ccj. The 6 years is up in September so in Jan we got a court CCJ form, I filed the defence which was they had not supplied us with a true signed copy of the agreement. They backed down but just this week we have received a copy of the form which I still dont think stands up due to:
    1. The copy provided is that bad most of it is unreadable
    2. It fails to meet the prescribed terms in section 127(3), it doesnt contain a credit limit, repayments or rate of interest
    3. My wife put she was a homemaker with £0.00 as the gross annual income, surely this was mis-sold if shes signed to say she earns nothing

The debt is under £2000 but still worrying about what they can do, we have received paperwork from the court to say the solicitors has requested it go to court mediation, is this normal?

    Any advice would be great,

    Thanks
