  • Charge for Payment of Money by Arrow Global Guernsey Ltd

Today, my partner received a Charge for Payment of Money, delivered by a Sheriff Officer.

It is from Arrow Global Guernsey Ltd, with the solicitors being based in Northampton. We live in Scotland.

I have never received mail from Arrow Global before and I am not sure what this payment is for. It is a payment for £1500.

It says I have 14 days to make a payment. The letter says that a decree was granted against her on 21st February 2014. And was extracted on 10th March, 2014.

As I've said, we've never received any correspondence from them before. Shouldn't there have also be Default Notice or something or other first?

Can you please advise on the best way forward? Find out who the debt is originally with/for?

    Just to add.

I was trying to respond to a claim on the Money Claim Online website but the letter than came through the door does have a password to use, so I am unable to respond. The letter than arrived is a Charge for Payment of Money, giving me 14 days to pay in full.

I will proceed with sending the letters though.

We are still unaware who the original debtors are. If anyone can advise anything in the mean time.

      Hi Welcome,
Scottish Law is not something I am very familiar with but I'm sure someone will be along with more knowledge than I.
It would be a good idea to check credit reference file for a clue to the origin.

Just taken a quick look at this document.

It is a "statutory demand for payment" it seems after a judgement has been made??

A stage in the Bankruptcy Process in Scotland.

Do you have any knowledge of any debts or court actions being taken?

Hi again I see that this Charge for payment is used by " local authorities" re council tax debt.

Usually when it's to do with council here the people who chase you are called Sterling Park. I have never know anyone else chase you for council here in Scotland than them.

Can't think of debt that this would be for.

We should just continue with sending those letters? Or will those not be valid here?
