Please help
Today I have received a claim form from Northampton county court off Cabot financial through Dresden fair fax solicitors it is for 4416 pounds from a vanquis credit card I took out in 2007 the last activity on the account was in 2009 however on my credit file vanquis closed the account in July 2009 and it says it is all satisfactory should I dispute this claim as I think vanquis wrote the debt off also I believe some time ago I requested proof of the debt under the consumer credit act and never received any info back from them please can someone advise myself what to next as I am really worried thanks in advance

First things first, have a good read of the guide here to understand the steps of defending a claim like this:

Then follow each stage carefully.
Do you still have a copy of the CCA request letter you sent previously? No matter if you don't, that's why part of the process is to send a new CCA request to the Claimant who now owns your debt seemingly.
So yes, you should definitely be disputing the claim and seeking evidential proof of their right to sue you for this money.

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service
Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)
