We live on a bus route and the bus company now refuse to stop for us at our farm road end, we are about 2 miles either way on this bus route to the nearest designated bus stop, which is where the bus company tell us to go to also it is on a road without paving. They say it is a hail and ride route. I could elaborate at this point that we hve lived here for 45 years without any problems using the the buses on a regular basis. The bus company I refer to is McGills of Greenock depot our route is No 19 Paisley to Johnstone and runs back and forth all day. The company are more concerned about the buses than our safety. I look forward to hearing from you.

Davina Michael Have you asked the bus company why they no longer stop for you at the road end?
The bus company can be contacted online via the form HERE
Info on the bus you are wanting to use is HERE. It looks like your bus service has now had extra distance added onto the route, could this be a reason that they are no longer wanting to stop?
Personally, I think that your best bet would be to ask McGills if they would be willing to re-instate the hail and ride service for your section of the route :tinysmile_grin_t:

Re: McGills Bus Problem
McGills received £158,675.61 concessionary travel support from Transport Scotland on 18th February 2014.
This is for persons over 60 years old or with a disability.
You say you have lived there over 45 years, so perhaps (not being rude) you qualify for concessionary travel.
If you do you could write to Mr McGill, your local councillor & your MSP that whilst they receive concessionary support, they will make no concessions to those who wish to use it.
Do Renfrewshire subsidise the bus service in any manner? If they do this is another point to bring up when talking to your local councillor.
