As I've been asked a few times recently I thought I'd write the basic time line for the general moneyclaim case for people to refer to. This is VERY simplistic but generally claims do take about 5 - 6 months to come to a conclusion or reach a hearing.
Day 1: ISSUE DATE on CLAIM FORM
Day 5: RECEIVE Claim Form
Day 6 - 14: ACKNOWLEDGE CLAIM, SEND CCA REQUEST, CPR REQUEST.
Day 33: DEFENCE due to court
Day 33-61: DEFENCE sent to Claimant and Claimant responds to court.
Day 61-80: Court send DIRECTIONS QUESTIONNAIRE to both parties
Day 80-87: DIRECTIONS QUESTIONNAIRE's returned to court
Day 87-100: Case allocated to Defendants local court and court sends directions or sets hearing date.
Day 100 - 160: Court Hearing
