  • Court Claim from Parking Eye (Morrisons)

    Hello,
I have reading a post here where one of you was helping out to file the defence for a court claim for Parking Eye ticket. I have just received a claim form and have little time to reply. I need to form a defence and I would be grateful for you help.

I got a claim form from Parking Eye without previous fines/letters. Called Parking Eye, explained that I had not letters of notice before, they said they sent 4 before. The car is registered in my husband's name but I drive it most of the time, so likely it was me who overstayed at the carpark (shopping, eating at the cafe with 2 little ones takes time...). I do not know how long I overstayed...
WHy letters did not go through? I suspect it is because of the address they got from DVLA - it is slightly different to the actual address and in the past the letters used to get mixed up with houses near by and post was missing (there were some complaints to local post office from local residents).
Parking Eye offered a discount to pay 110 instead of 160 but I refused as original fine was 85, 45 or 50 as discounted rate.

    Please help,

    Many thanks

Thanks for getting back and the useful info. I will have a read.
Here is a pic of a fron page, minus claim number and claimant's and defendant's addresses. Other pages are the Response pack for defence and AOS. I submitted the AOS today (not sure if it automatically adds 14 days to file the defence...). Claim was issued on 15/09/14.
