Yes we agree to disagree on the rights and wrongs of these type of transactions.
You stated,
but that only applies where goods are sold in the course of a business.
That's what I thought when I purchased several electrical items from a live auction site.
The C.D Boombox never worked and a few other things also never worked.
I tried to get my money back, but evidently, the sale of goods act 1979 doesn't apply to Auctions.
So yes it is an expensive lesson to learn.
But my own opinion is, that the buyer was conned.
