No idea what those figures are based on, i.e. what type of legal work. Big law firms charge well over twice as much as the London figures quoted above. Years ago I did some freelance work for several of the big guns and whenever solicitors are mentioned, those come to mind. They offer legal services mainly to large businesses, the figures above could be based on solicitors working for consumers and smaller businesses.

No idea what those figures are based on, i.e. what type of legal work. Big law firms charge well over twice as much as the London figures quoted above. Years ago I did some freelance work for several of the big guns and whenever solicitors are mentioned, those come to mind. They offer legal services mainly to large businesses, the figures above could be based on solicitors working for consumers and smaller businesses.

And the fact is that you rarely (if ever!) get your money's worth - it's like the banks, it's all cooked up between them to cream off proceeds - a perfectly legal cartel.:croc:

Matches the Fees after small claims case I was charged by their grade at court! inj fact if I remember correctly HSBC rep posted £108 fee against me @ court. who was representing the non Solicitors DG.

also a grade at another court was £300+ Barraster fee for AK. on behalf of nee Duncan Brown of Chivers Easton Brown
