  • Receivd a CCJ (Lovells/Northampton Bulk Centre)

I recently received a CCJ and very stupidly stuck my head in the sand as I couldnt afford the repayment they wanted, my outgoings are more then my incomings, bills arent getting paid etc. However now I am panicking as its past the deadline for replying and I'm locking my back door etc and living like a hermit cos I'm scared the bailiffs will come knocking etc. Also I'm starting a new job on Monday so don't want an attachment of earnings. Do Northampton Court/Lowells persue CCJ'S?

When you say you received a CCJ, was this a claim form or an actual judgment for the claimant?

Northampton is just the bulk centre for money claims, it's up to the claimant (Lowell) to enforce the judgment. If they have obtained judgment by default you may be able to apply for set aside if you didn't get the claim forms and have a viable defence, failing that, you can apply for the court order to be varied so you can pay what you can afford.
