Im new to this but i really need some serious help!!! Ive been hounded by the inland rev for over 10 years about a tax return that is from 2001-2005 for which they say i owe £100,000!!! This is complicated as it involved my father who passed away in 2005, he was using my bank account for carsales business, i didnt use or really need the account so let him get on with it but its obviously dropped me in it, a tax return was submitted that they say i signed with my earnings as a security doorman which is what i did paye but also was the car sales accounts!! I cant remember signing this or if i did i certainly didnt understand what i was signing, it was over 10 years ago. I have asked for proof and to see the return but inland rev have never sent me this, they took mwe to court in my absence in nov 2013 and got a judgement against me, on jan 2nd 1014 they got a charge order on my property i did go to the hearing but the judge said he would have to go along and grant the order!! I am writing to inland rev for the copy or this return and to explain again the situation and am just about to make an appeal against the order but is there anything you can mayby help me with, any info you need i will try to give!! Many thanks

When you say they 'took you to court in your absence', did you not get any claim forms?
