Bailiffs or High Court enforcement, unless you're happy to take that money now and then chase them for the rest later.

looks like youv'e had fun,
I HAD A PROBLEM MECHANIC,DIDN'T REPAIR CAR OVER IN 2 YEARS,
So took court precccedings,he tried to blufff his way out,in defence statements,promised to pay up ,but didnt.
Finally a ccj judgement in my favour ,to pay forthwith yet never contacted me ,So i went to see him,i got so frustated that i took out an interim charging order out on his house[that is joint owned with spouse] and will see him next month,where hopefullly it will become final,
just to top it all he doesn't live there according to the bailiffs reply lettter but was on electoral role papers for house in september2011,he moved out a year ago?,his car gets parked outside house overnight[yet he lives10 miles away] so iv'e taken photo of him and his cars plus details to re;issue warrant to bailffs for further checks.
Next step is to confirm car insurance details as to address,theres always some thing they didn't think about.....
p.s i did all homework and legal work plus filling land reg forms myself,YES i'm not a legal eagle but this shows with determination it's possible to secure debts owed [please remember any debt under £5000 is small claims i think it must be over £600 though,{but check with courts 1'st]

It is fairly easy to check with the Land Registry (link) to find out if he owns or part-owns that house.

thats what i did land reg cost was only £4.00 and confirmed details thatallowed me to get a interim charging order ok'd by judge.

latest update;
arrived at court for final hearing,only myself there.after discussion with judge ,found out i needed to serve papers on all parties ,mortgage company,defendant and his wife the joint owner,
have sent docs signed for post 2 out of 3 letters received,his wife not took delivery of letter so may have to hand del instead ,the esate agent has had his house on market since september 2009,and confirms the house address as contact address.
will now inform bailiffs again to re-issue warrant to same address ,and will drive by to see whether he still resides at address,[which his wife says he no longer resides at!]
i am now looking into all possible excuses/defences,possible at final hearing the end of this month .
will update later.
