    Statutory Demand

    I have recieved one of these. my company went into liquidation a month ago, and a supplier has chased me for the outstanding balance ( i signed a application for credit and also a continuing guarantee personally within this)

    I have written following there request and made a token offer until i can sell assete to cover this debt £2400 as currently unemployed, They have refused and now issued a SD threatening bacrupcy a, this all seems a bit quick to me, do i have any defence

    Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

    Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

    If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
