Count Court appeal advice please

I am the claimant in a case heard on 21st November and judgement went against me.

I need urgent guidance/advice please on completion of Appellant's notice form N164 which I believe needs to be in the hands of the court, together with the fee, within 21 days of the hearing date, so 11th December.

I have been ordered to pay costs to the defendant, due by 5th December. Can someone please confirm that regardless of the appeal, these costs are required to be paid.
