  • Letter before court

    Hi All,
Is it a legal obligation for a claimant to send a reminder or follow up letter before they take you to court.

    Many Thanks

Reminder or follow up letter in respect of what? Has a claim letter already been sent? If so, there is no requirement for a further reminder, particularly if the person to whom the letter has been sent has chosen not to reply.

Does the question relate to this thread? https://legalbeagles.info/forums/for...se#post1649799

Hi, yes indeed it does. I asked for all the information the claimant held regarding the 2 claims. The only letters sent were the notice to keeper, no other letters, reminders or pre court letters were issued. I was hoping my defence could hinge on this. Many Thanks

No chance, sorry. You did say that you decided the best thing was to ignore the letters: You make your choice ...

          Okay, thanks for the heads-up.
So, for my own clarity - just one letter from the claiment is sufficient.
it looks like I'll have to settle this one and put it down to an expensive lesson i guess.
