  • How not to miss a court claim against me while away from home for several months?

Some individual threatens to make a small claims court claim against me. I believe I can easily defend it, but my worry is that I am away from my home for several months, have no one to check my mail and can miss a letter saying there is a claim against me and I have two weeks to defend it. Can I somehow get a notification into my email, not my door mat?

Not an option I am afraid, as I travel a lot to various destinations.

Make an arrangement with a solicitor you can nominate to accept service.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Well, I doubt it's a cost-effective way, especially provided that the there is 90% chance that this is just empty threats.

Is there an online way to check if there is a claim against me or not?

Well... looks like a great opportunity for fraudsters, if they find out that someone is away from home for at least two weeks.

Silence... OK. Another question then. If I arrive to home-sweet-home and notice that there is an automatic county court judgement against me, is there a legal mechanism to revert this decision?

Set Aside Application = now calm down and be polite as your tone is not helpful, many could say no help there.

You are making several lifestyle choices. They conflict. Live with it.

It isn't only a court claim you might miss, there could be any number of important letters that arrive while you are away. You need to ensure someone visits your home regularly - once a week say - and checks your post and calls you to tell you what has arrived.
