  • Need help writing a response to witness statement

I live in a block of flats where only half the carpark is covered by Parking and property management so in the Carpark only half the bays are controlled. My allocated bay is not controlled by them. My bay was occupied so I parked in another bay (not knowing it was being controlled) and I received a ticket. After submitting a defence and the case being allocated to my local court, i have received a booklet of evidence from BW legal. Please see attached documents

Get pen and paper. In respect of each statement in these documents write a note saying:

    1. whether you agree it; or

    2. whether you disagree.

For everything you disagree, if you have an alternative version of events or explanation, write that down.

Then, if you think there is anything else that needs to be said to prove your case, write that done.

Once you have made those notes, sort them into a logical order. Often this will be chronological order.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now in academia. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read this: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

What about the bit where they wrote my defence is from money saving expert. I have taken chunks out from numerous websites.

I'm not sure why you didn't stick to one site.

I'd write that you are a 'layperson', that as such you have to use the resources that are available to you, which has been multiple websites to get the relevant information.

The Claimants solicitor is experienced in parking matters and is not a 'layperson' and that any additional material as such, causes no issues for the Claimants solicitors.
