  • Guidance in completing Form N181 Directions Questionnaire

I am being sued by a Franchiser for £100,000 for termination of contract. My defence is that I was coerced and put under undue influence at the point of signing, and the contract should be considered void. The whole saga has been fraught with issues which rendered the arrangement untenable. I have filed my defence document N9B, and now have received a Multi Track directions questionnaire Form N181. Although I have filed my defence to the court I have not disclosed this to the claimant - Should I do so - also the form sent to me by the court says the case is defended - but has struck out that this has been sent to the claimant. Should I include my defence in Form N181 in the disclosure area . Any guidance would be much appreciated.

You should have sent a copy of your defence that you fled with the court, to the defendant - and anything else you filed.

Thanks for this - however when I submitted my Defence and Counterclaim form N9B there was no mention of me sending a copy to the claimant. the multi track N181 specifically says my defence has not been sent to the claimant. I am confused !
