They couldn't have looked that closely at the accounts, birth date is a very basic check.

It might be an idea to negotiate the £400 down to £250, you should certainly agree to the mediation. Don't lose the mediation opportunity which comes before any hearing.

Any offers you make email them over and mark 'Without Prejudice'.
Yes echat11 exactly that.. Infact what make's it worse is despite the DOB error they still said it's not fraud if you look at Exhibit 2A I attached they said "All personal details between both accounts match, apart from one error in the date of birth and the fraud team confirmed this as a registration issue. They were also managed in the same manner and followed our collections journey for non-payment."

This is what irritates me as before accepting liability for that account they've said stated multiple accounts the activity between the two is the same but are still refusing to accept liability for this account.

The only reason they dropped this account is because it was taken out before I reached 18 and I grasped that from the contract start date.

I will do, so should I follow through with the Overdales call later or just accept mediation and deal with this then.

Overdales are making the call for their own ends, deal with it during mediation.
Don't lose the mediation opportunity, make sure you accept it.
