I managed to get a CCJ set aside - so now back to square 1 defending the claim. If the judge rules in favour of the claimant will the CCJ be backdated or will it be a new one which will allow me to pay before the deadline so as to avoid a CCJ on my credit file ?

Just to clarify, when I mean the date of judgment that is the day of the hearing and a judge decides who wins. It should not be confused with the date of the court order that follows as that is sometimes issued later after one month of the judgment date.If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service
Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)
If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
