DCBL/Highview parking County court claim

Hi, I’m wondering if someone can offer some advice. I received a letter last January 2020 which went to my parents house ( wrong address ) from DCBL to say I had committed a parking offence dated back to 2016 and needed to pay £180. My parents replied to the company to say I did not live there. Since I have had this week a county court claim for the same parking fine. I need to respond but I have no idea how to and as it was so long ago I can’t even remember it. They haven’t provided any evidence to support the claim and have said that I have admitted and honoured to pay within 28 days but I have never contacted them directly so I’m confused. I have the letter from last January that was sent to the wrong address and the court
claim but I can’t find anything else. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Standard comment that the driver agreed to pay within 28 days. It's usually on the signs.

SAR to Highview
CPR 31.14 letter to DCBL. Mention that your have not received a letter before claim and this is the first chance you have had to challenge.

Acknowledge the claim on or after day 5 using the details and password on the form. Nothing in the defence. This gives you 33 days form the date of issue to get your defence to the court.

The reason I suggest mentioning telling them that you have not received the letter before claim is that they have responded to others saying they would have provided them if request at the LBC stage.

Hi ostell, thanks for your help. When I count my days given my the court as 28: is it calendar days or working?

Thanks Ostell. If i put thr acknologment in today to
the court. When is my defence due if i got the county court claim on the 28th April? Also is it worth me noting that ive just been reading online that you should recieve a notice of court action. Is this the county court claim or should they have sent me something else before they have filed the court claim?

They are supposed to send a letter before claim giving you 30 days notice but lack will not help you.

You have the lesser of 28 days from the date of acknowledgement or 33 days from the issue date.

Hey ostell hope your well. Ive received a response in relation to the 31.14 with the attached pictures. Im still waiting on any correspondence to the sar from highview. DCBL response to the 31.14 was '' in due course the court will order that both parties file and serve all evidence they intend to rely on.
