Hi all,
I've got myself into a bit of a pickle with a couple of Lowell Solicitor debts which after checking my credit ratings, I have discovered are now showing on my credit history.
Basically 3 years ago I was with BT and cancelled to switch to another plan, this was all sorted and fine however later on in the year Lowell started contacting me to collect a debt to do with BT, I saw online their bad reviews and they seemed like frauds so always ignored their letters. I went travelling and continued my life.
A few years on I am back in the UK and have received a letter this week saying that they entered a CCJ against me late 2019. This unfortunately is the only letter I have kept.
I have 2 Lowell debts on my credit history which started a few years ago, both under £500, however I would ideally like to avoid paying them and get these debts removed from the system.
One debt originated from BT and the other from EE.
I've checked online and am seeing some various answers like sending a letter asking for proof, or conditionally accepting if me and lowell have a contract, but I'm confused with what to do and have limited knowledge of the UK laws in this scenario.
Has anybody dealt with Lowell Group/ Lowell Solicitors before?
Thanks for your help.
