  • calling card

    received a calling card today claiming to be an enforcement officer, i have checked my credit reference agencies and i cant find anything on there the the amount that is on the card, well a piece of paper and i have also checked the certificated database and i cant find that name on there. should i call this number or just ignore?

      I wouldn't ignore it. If a ccj has been entered against you then you need to find out why and who the claimant is etc

        I would guess this is a County Court Bailiff who is salaried employee of HMCTS & therefore will not appear on the Bailiff Register.

          hi thanks for replying i actually have him on camera and i can see his name tag is hmcs not hmcts and the landline according to Google is a magistrates court and iv checked and i have no ccj of that amount. im a little worried here iv had no fines of any sort. pt2537 thank you and thsnk you ploddertom

            The email address domain name is a company selling jewellery

            Phone the landline and ask for him by name. The number might have been reallocated? The Dudley Magistrates court webpage now has different numbers.

            Phone the mobile and see who answers

            In both cases withhold your number.

              Dudley County Court, Family Court & Magistrates Court are all held in the same premises. The number he has given is for that of the County Court. As others have said you need to make contact to find what it is about + a County Court Bailiff does not deal with Mag Court Fines. The County Court Bailiff is much more amenable than those employed by private companies.

              Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

              If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
