    Court claim from Lowell for South West water

    Hello,

    I'm hoping you'll be able to help, I have received a court claim from Lowell for South West Water for £849.
    I know I've been really stupid by not paying but really don't want a ccj against me but have no way of paying this outright as I'm already struggling with all my bills.
    Is it worth me contacting them and offering a payment plan or is it too late for that?

    Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

    Hello and welcome

    Yes definitely contact them to arrange a payment plan. They will cease the legal action via a 'Tomlin Order' which means the claim will come back into force if you default on the payment plan set up.
    You will have to fill in an income/expenditure form to ensure the payments are affordable.

    Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)
