Any help, anyone please? I am running out of time for submitting my defence statement.

That looks really good Nutod, well done. Perhaps the only addition would be that you have sent a SAR to British Gas and await any documents.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Thank you Celestine, that came in good time for my submission. I am adding the SAR suggestion and submitting after my conversation with the Court in a few minutes.

I will keep the forum updated with developments.

          Quick Update

I submitted my statement of defence through the Money Claim website on the day before the deadline. I couldn't attach any evidence so had to modify my defence statement to state that I had the evidence listed in A, B,C and D in the proposed statement above.

I then got an email from Lowell Solicitors today asking me to forward the evidence to them so they can investigate more closely. They are also proposing a one-off settlement figure of £800 to me. This is a climbdown from the £1200 they sued for and even from the £1004 they claimed I owe British Gas. I am not even contemplating accepting this proposal.

My main question now is whether I should send them these pieces of evidence as requested. Can they use this against me in any sense?

On a side note, I got a mail from one of my Credit Card Companies yesterday proposing the closure of one of my accounts as it hadn't been used for a while. They also referred me to a credit reference agency. I checked and discovered that Lowell has added a Default in my Credit Record. Can I ask the Court to order them to remove this?
