Hi all,
I would really appreciate some help if possible.
In July 2014 I moved to Thailand and returned to England in August 2019. I wanted to check my credit rating and found that I was issued a CCJ in April 2018 from Lowell Solicitors for the sum of £451.
I've read on various forums that because I was not in in country when I received the court hearing, and was unable to attend to defend myself then I may be able to have the CCJ set aside. Can anyone shine some light on this and advice me on whether it's worth me paying the £255 application fee to have it set aside by the court? If they do not accept my request then I'll be charged for the application fee, judgement fee, and original debt amount, so maybe end up paying double.
Thanks.
