  • BW Legal Claim

    Hi,

I have received a court claim today on behalf of parking awareness.

I am just looking for some advice but I believe I am just going to have to admit and pay this one.

I received a parking ticket for parking on some private land, yes there was signs but it was on a doctor's car park at 9pm at night so I though it would be ok.

Anyway I received several letters and was advised to ignore them as they are unenforceable.

The original fine was £100 they are now claiming £259.10

I guess I know I was in the wrong and just tried my luck by ignoring the letters.

Is there anything I can do to at least slightly reduce the amount required to pay?

    Many Thanks

So edit your post so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred. Use "the driver......" etc. You are the Keeper.

It would be nice to see the original PCN, suitably redacted, but leave dates.

If they are using the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 to claim from you as the keeper as they do not know the identity of the driver the maximum they can claim is the amount of the original PCN £100 + court fee (£25) + solicitors costs (£50)
