I am new to this forum so apologies if this is not in the right place. I have received a letter from Restons Solicitors called a Letter of Claim regarding a debt owed to Next Directory from November 2012. Enclosed is a huge financial statement which I have to complete and return. I will need to pay it in instalments, as it totals £1594.55. I have done some digging around online and I’m quite worried as it appears Restons aren’t particularly fair or decent when it comes to agreeing repayment schemes.
The letter states if I fail to reply to the claim they are instructed to request the court to grant a judgement, which obviously I do not want! It has taken me years to clear lots of debt and manage my money better.
Does anyone have any experience of dealing with Restons or any advice about what I should do?
