If anyone can help, thank you

When I was younger I stupidly got into a bit of debt with payday loans, taking out more to cover the rest etc. One of these was with lending stream. I received the court claim and was surprised, I checked my old email addresses and had received emails from lending stream last year (they offered a settlement of around £300, I wish I had seen it and just settled).

My question is what options do I have to avoid any court action/ccj? I have just recently graduated in related fields and this would make it impossible for me to get a job. I am also currently on benefits as I am applying for jobs (I think this may have came up on some credit checks for employers). I will be asking family etc, but the best I can do as of now is offer a repayment plan but I'm afraid this would just be a ccj which I really don't want to happen. Is paying the full amount the only way to avoid any court decisions/ccj? Feeling sick right now not sure what to do. I was really naive and stupid at the time I hate myself for it, the loan was about 5 years ago so I guess because it's been almost 6 years they are deciding to do this. I don't think I can contact lending stream anymore since they have sold the debt. Should I just phone asset collections and plead with them or are they likely to refuse any sort of arrangement?
