  • Recommendations for enforcing county court judgement

    England

County court claim won in April 2025 but only received judgement now. However I contacted the defendant, an evictions specialist (limited company), about the hearing outcome as they didn't and they said they will apply to have it set aside as they did not receive the court hearing (they knew there was a claim and received my witness statements also).

I sent them 2 emails asking about their intentions to pay after receiving the judgement last week but haven't had any response. They might respond but doubtful.

Their recent accounts for end of April 2024 show 50k assets but 50k liabilities as well giving a net of £100...

I am quite interested in the process so don't mind paying some money for next steps even if it doesn't lead to anything but am looking for advice and what's the best course of action.

The past year their trust pilot reviews show they are active and have happy customers so they are making some money.

What should I do? I am tempted to use HCEO but can't see how they would get any money if they have no physical assets and simply refuse to share bank account.

'and have happy customers so they are making some money' are you sure the reviews are not fake?

If everything you say about them is correct, i.e. not responsive etc. then that may cast doubt on the Trustpilot reviews.

Did you pay them monies to do work?
