  • Court taking long to send judgement

My aunt had a court hearing on April 1st 2025 with Clerkenwell and Shoreditch county court.

The claim was ruled in her favour. However, they have yet to send the judgement. Without it, we cannot enforce or chase anything up.

The defendant didn't turn up so have no proof of the judgement.

We have called several times and been given different timelines - 17 weeks, 1 month, next week, end of the month etc.

It seemed to be a straightforward judgement so not sure why it's taking so long? Is there anything we can do?

You could write a polite letter addressed to the Court Manager, see if that helps, at least you'll get the correct timeline.

This court was always notorious for its delays. I am sorry that it appears that this is still the case.
