I had a car accident 15months ago, I admitted liability and left my insurance to sort out. Then received a ccj on 2nd may saying I owe claimant for shortfall in claim payment and loss of earning. I have passed this on to my insurers who advised they will handle this. My worry is that I may get ccj against me while I’m waiting. Can this happen or will my insurers stop the ccj.

Hi
Welcome to LB
Why did you admit liability and who did you admit it to?
Insurance companies advise drivers not to admit liability even if the accident was clearly one driver's fault. Admitting liability may prejudice the company's negotiating stance
IMO you should contact your insurance company to find out what, if anything, they have done about the claim.
If they have done nothing, then you need to file a defence to the claim asap
Did you receive a response pack from the business centre? If you did, did you forward that pack to the insurance company?

As post 5, you should contact your insurance company and post on the forum what they say.
Your insurance should cover you to defend claims following an accident.
As the other driver has started a claim they either have legal expenses insurance as an add on, or are prepared to risk paying legal costs out of their own pocket

The OP should press his insurer to confirm that action is being taken to protect his interests.Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.
