  • N181 form

I have started a claim (MCOL) and was sent a letter and asked to complete directions N181. It said that the form should be sent to Northampton. Does it need to be sent to the defendant as well? Do I need to send all the relevant claim documents to court and the defendant? Should it be done now or is it done at later stage? Filling out the form is quite tricky but I'm slowly managing to fill it out. TY

Please read the article "How to fill out directions questionnaire: A basic guide" at www.helix-law.co.uk

Court advice is to collaborate with the other party to complete certain sections of N181

When you file it, serve a copy on the defendant

Wait for confirmation from the court of the allocated track and hearing location

You should receive court directions about any case management conference, disclosure of documents etc

How should the question about the "disclosure of non-electronic documents" be answered when filling out the form? (What directions are proposed for disclosure?)I looked at 28.2 as it stated...Do I write here "standard disclosure" or is it about something else?
Also in I 2.-other information to help the judge decide the claim- should I again describe the case briefly. I've done it when I was starting the claim and not sure if that is what's asked here.
      Thank you in advance

"The provisions of Civil Procedure Rule 28.2 to apply" That assumes your claim is £10k to £25k (will probably be allocated to the fast track)

Briefly state the evidence that supports your claim and will be disclosed. State this evidence is crucial to the court's decision

Thank you PEZZA54. one last thing. In the form in J (Directions) it says in Bold "Whether agreed or not a draft of the order for directions which you seek must accompany this form"
Am I expected to provide the timeline by which the follwing things should happen?
          1- exchanging of witness statements
2- disclosure of relevant documents documents
Not sure what else to add. It is quite a straightforward case (purchased goods not as described ) there is no expert evidence and at this point not sure if it is a hearing or a trial.

            CPR 28 states "trial"

Read through CPR 28, make notes of the rule numbers and wording that apply to the fast track. Draft an order based on your notes and therefore CPR 28

Could I please have some assistance. I have filled out the N181 form and need to write an order of directions. The claim has been issued in High Court. I ticked on the form that "I prefer the case to be heard in the following County court hearing centre".
My question is What would the heading be when writing order of directions In The High Court, Royal Courts of Justice?
              Thank you

I have written the body (main info) of an order of directions and specified timeline. How do I start the letter not knowing the court or judge?
Do I simply state claimant / defendant and claim number on top of the page and write proposed order of directions???
