  • Defence to claimant.

Following my last post having my judgement set-aside.
The claimant (OVO Electricity) instructed me to send all defence/evidence directly to their in house defence team and not involve their solicitor and supplied me the email to send to them only.
All was sent and received before my deadline set by the court, but yesterday I received an email saying they can't accept my defence directly and it has to go to their solicitor.
I'm worried as the deadline to send any defence of to other parties concerned has now past, would this be an issue?

Just send it - and keep the correspondence you describe above about where to send the thing, just in case you need to show it to a judge.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Why have you started another thread?

Didn't you ask the same question in the original thread?

eh they've replied to it so they have it.. doesnt particularly matter whether them or their solicitor has it. If they try argue that to a judge he/she will just say well your client got it and replied so could easily have forwarded it to you.
