  • Parking ticket bay not fully marked

Hi, I received a parking ticket for not parking within the marked bay however it wasn’t very clear to me as it was dark and the lines aren’t marked properly. There are no lines going all the way down. Also, the car beside me was not parked in the marked bay so there was confusion as to where the lines actually are. I have attached the picture and you can see that because there was no line all the way down, my estimation was a little off because it was a poorly lit area. Can someone please help with the appeal?

If you are thinking of appealing to the parking company that issued the ticket, you might as well not bother.
Parking companies do not accept appeals,(as that does not produce any cash), and as this appeal will be based on mitigation grounds only there is no hope!

I assume the parking ticket was attached to the windscreen, so would advise waiting until the company send a "notice to Keeper".
At that point a defence is more likely to be possible as these companies often make errors.

If you do go ahead to appeal the ticket do not identify the driver, as that makes any future defence more difficult.
