I’m asking for my son, he had a court case in 2022 for unpaid private parking fines, and to be honest forgot all about it. Only because the company has dug up more PCNs from 2019-20 he was reminded. The court that was used is now closed, but got an answer on the phone, that the case was struck out as he didn’t return the directions questionnaire, would the claimant have been awarded the money they were after, he never received any information from the court. And has not got a CCJ which I assume he would have got, if he hadn’t paid. Any input greatly appreciated

I can’t see that the claimant wouldn’t have asked for payment. He is now receiving a letter of claim from DCB legal for for another load of PCN’s which some are dated before the ones he was taken to court for previously, he definitely didn’t get proof of more than one PCN in 2019

Regarding the 18 PCN’s do DCBL have to show proof of these, I know I definitely didn’t receive them. I have got 2 letters from the Landowner at the time stating I was allowed to park as I was an employee, DCBL are saying their client was never told this, which they were via a phone call from the landowner in 2019 in my presence . DCBL are saying I need to get the Landowner to contact their client about the PCN’s in this case, but that is not going to be easy as the Landowner has moved on. Plus they are asking for £3060 which seems extortionate in any case! I have emailed creative parking asking for proof of PCN’s which hopefully I will receive. Problem being I think Parking companies only have to keep paperwork for 3 years, so this being 2019/20 may be difficult. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
