Hi I'm trying to get a LBA done by a solicitor but keep getting knockbacks, seems no-one is interested maybe because it's complicated, not enough money in it. I really don't know where to go from here. Can anyone suggest where I could get an official letter written. I would do it myself but don't have the knowledge of which laws, procedures etc to use. Thanks

Hi,
If you can tell us your situation, maybe we can help you discover the potential legal bases for your claim. Have you asked the law firms the reason why they don't want to write you an LBA? If you are willing to pay their fees, I don't see why they would turn you down unless those firms are in a busy period and can't take on more work or you are asking them to do it on a no-win no fee basis in which case I can see why they may knock you back if it is not worth their time.
Larger firms may take on your request if they can farm it out to a paralegal or something like that as they might have more capacity. Otherwise, local high street firms may be willing to do it but again, it depends on capacity, whether you are willing to pay their rates and if it's worth their time. Alternatively, could try asking a direct access barrister to draft you an LBA but you may pay through the nose for the privilege. If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
