Just a question to satisfy my mind, why would a person knowingly purchase a seven seat vehicle for deliveries, could it be so that he can get away with just domestic and social insurance. worth a check on MID.

I think it’s because of the multiple use, folding the rear seats gives enough storage space when delivering parcels and then can be used for normal when not delivering. I suppose the alternative is having two vehicles, a small van and a car.

Thank you all for your input.

I submitted my defence 4/7/2023 and the MCOL portal today says that 'DQ sent to you on 06/07/2023'.

When this arrives I will update, but does anyone have any guidance how to proceed with this?

        TIA

If you open "Directions Questionnaire" under "SHORTCUTS" on the right hand column you will find advice on how to complete the DQ and what you should do with the completed form.
You should receive a copy of the claimant's completed DQ and you might also receive the claimant's Reply to Defence. If the claimant does file a Reply to Defence it will be interesting to see what he writes when he realises CRA and a refund does not apply to B2B sales.

Tia - look at the form, and see what help you need, if any.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

As an update, I submitted my Directions Questionnaire in mid July. There was no update on the online portal so I phoned the court, they said due to the backlog in cases they are 2/3 months behind on updating the case. I'll update again once I get some confirmation.

Great news. Let's hope it is the end of the matter and the claimant doesn't start a new claim.
