See the appendix to CPR Practice Direction 28: https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/pr...28/pd_part28#I
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

To a litigant in person it’s

I can’t find any relevant posts amongst them that explain in any detail what and why I should be filling in

for example - witnesses - does this include written this witness statements? Or is just witness attendance in court? - do I have to name the person - should I be going round asking people to be witnesses or does the court do that once they’re named on the form?

and the draft order - the link takes me to a form of words in brackets - I don’t understand what I’m meant to be doing with that- how do I know dates to enter I’ve got no idea where to start.

I appreciate this is a highly qualified persons job to do this paperwork but at £3k minimum to start off this procedure so I get it - it’s all a very well hidden secret and way too complicated for the
        Everyday person to achieve.

Witnesses: list all witnesses whose evidence you wish to use. You must expect your witnesses to attend court to give their evidence. You must exchange written statements of your witnesses. Do not forget to include yourself.

The template covers all possibilities, no doubt including several that will not be appropriate in your case.

If you are undertaking Fast Track litigation yourself, you need to inform yourself. Start by reading that handbook.

Is the other party represented by a lawyer?
