just after a bit of advice got a new neighbour in November who started work on his house straight away, scaffolding is on my property front and back and completely blocked my sky signal spoke to my neighbour and he tried to put the dish on his scaffolding but it didnt work so i got a sky engineer to come round unfortunately due to the height of his scaffolding they couldnt get a signal anywhere and as his scaffolding will be up for months he told me my only option wouls be sky glass as no dish is required we got the sky glass as we also dont have a aerial socket in our home i explained everything to my neighbour and he asked me the cost of the tv which is £1140 and he said he would like to pay half as its his fault i accepted but now he wants to go back on his offer as i should just wait for the work to be completed which will be around mayor june.can i take him to a small claims court fot the cost of the tv as hes already admitted fault

In the 1997 case Hunter v Canary Wharf the House of Lords held that interference with a television signal is not an actionable nuisance, so you would not appear to be able to bring a claim against your neighbour on those grounds.

As to the contribution to the new tv, there might just be something in this. Did you buy the tv before or after this agreement?

it was purchasehed after we had discussions and exhausted all other options
