  • CCJ

I was checking my credit report + found a CCJ dated 12/09/22. I had no idea what it was for + wrote to the court to find out. I have been advised today that it is for non payment of rent for a property I lived in with my then partner. I left the property in 2006 + he remained there claiming Housing benefit + Council Tax benefit for the property. The property is owned by a housing association. I advised them on 2 occasions that I had left + in 2008 purchased a shared ownership property with the same housing association. I have received no correspondence regarding the CCJ and therefore was unable to contest it. Please advise as this is causing sleepless nights + affecting my mental health. Thank you
