  • Court claim outside of UK

    Hi everyone,

Our company got scam by a scammer which outside UK. The local police confiscated some part our money scammer took from us. However, when we tried to join the court in the local country. They told us that, we have to make the request from UK. It make me confused. How we can start to make case from UK to make claim money back from the court which outside of UK?

    Thank you very much

I think that you are approaching this from the wrong end. In my opinion you need to contact the police in this other country to find out exactly what they need in order to help you to pursue your claim. Press for sufficient detail to enable you to know exactly what you need to do.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
