  • CCJ Consent Order - Srongly served CCJ

    Hi all,

I really need some advice on what I can do.

Our landlord is looking to sell where we live and has given me first refusal so upon checking me credit file, I was shocked to find I had a CCJ.

Long story short, I took on a subcontractor in 2018 who worked for my Ltd company, Not me personally. This is where the CCJ has come from.
The subcontractor (who is the son of a family friend) did a poor job which resulted in the client holding payment until I had gone back to rectify the work.
I rectified the work promptly so the client would pay. This resulted in the subcontractor being paid around two weeks late. I explained all of this to him, and he said he understood.
next thing I know I have a CCJ!

I have paid the CCJ (My Ltd company paid the CCJ not myself)

Although quite some time has passed, and I have paid the CCJ is there anything that can be done as I did not know the CCJ was on my personal credit file.

I have read that I can ask for a consent order and then apply to have the CCJ set aside by consent?

I did contact a CCJ removal company, but they wanted to charge me £600 which seems very excessive, they also mentioned a consent order.

Is this the case? Any help on this would greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
