  • HELP needed regarding court and bailiffs

    Just need some advise please
firstly I have horses (not rich)
Transporter brought some horses up for me from stud I didn't pay him at the time I then lost one of my jobs making it very hard to pay the 1200 owing .
Yes I'm in the wrong here but this guy had my old address so never received any paper work etc (reasons above) he did phone and text however I buired my head bad thing to do.
Well he turned up to day demanding his money (which I haven't got)
He then said go borrow the money ? I can't
He then said the debit is now 2grand and the bailiff is coming to remove the horses ,
    First can they do that?
He won't enter into payment plan
I have no paper work ?
I really don't know what to do any advise please
    Thanks

He cannot just put the debt up to 2k, and having delivered the horses he has no lien over them, so cannot take them in payment.

He has the right to take you to court (I assume he has not done this yet). If agreed, submit to judgment and make an offer of payment at a rate which you know you can keep to.
