  • Received Application Notice N244

Hi - this concerns my claim for car repair costs arising from an accident caused by the defendant, whose solicitor has filed an N244 - in which they state :

The Defendant seeks an order that :
    1. - The Claimant's claim be struck out in its entirety

    ... and further down :

    9. - The Court may deal with the Defendant's application without a hearing pursuant to
    CPR 18 PD5.5 and CPR 23.8.

My question : - Can I file a formal objection to this application to the court ... and if so, how ?

    Many thanks

    Will D. Beest

Yes, you normally file an objection in the form of a witness statement.
