  • CCJ for PCNs filed at temporary address, PCo had correct permanent address detail

In 2019/20 my son was a student and due to car trouble managed to rack up a dozen or so PCNs in a university car park. The PCo sent the bills etc to our home address where my sons car was registered. They filed a case with the county court which we disputed and which they dropped a few weeks before the court date.

We have just discovered that the PCo has won a CCJ against my son in August last year, when a debt collector called at our house. The CCJ was granted for the address where my son was resident in 2019/20.

This seems to be an abuse of process in that they appear to have filed for the same charges twice and that they had an address that they could contact my son at and used an address that they knew/or should have at least suspected, was not his.

What steps should we be taking to stay the decision and hopefully punish these lying .......

    Thanks in advance
