  • Defendant lies on defence

    Hi there,

if the Defendant lies on his defence, and it can be proven during the proceedings, can it be seen as a perjury and prosecuted accordingly?

    Many thanks.

        Hi again everyone,

I researched the subject and it appears that I submit an application for committal for contempt of the court (Form N208).

        Very interesting!

I am beyond upset by the defendant's abhorrent lies signed by the statement of truth and I think the court should not take it lightly (seen some case law).

However, I am now confused about what Form to fill. Maybe it is not N208? Does anyone has any experience with it?

Do I need to apply for permission first? How?
Read a lot of CPRs and guidances but it is still not clear for me.
