  • CCJ Not me

I received a CCJ To my company today, the solicitors having received my company name from Companys House. However i have never heard of the company who sent the CCJ , never had goods from them or entered into any contract with them. My company is on a small industrial estate with four other companies working from the same address. I can only presume that the solicitors/CCJ is for one of them and they have just looked for a company with same address???. I am so angry, as i now have to contest this CCJ giving my defence and have no idea how long a CCJ will show up on my unblemished business and if the CCJ will have a detrimental effect on my day to day running . Surely it can be classed as harrassment at the very least from the solicitors , and they must have a duty of care to make sure that a CCJ goes to the correct person/company . Btw, i had received no correspondence prior to the CCJ landing on my mat

Do you have a judgment against you or has a claim been issued against you?

I suggest you post up a suitably redacted copy of what you have received. You may be confused between a claim and a judgment Order.

Yes reading the post carefully, he has received a claim form 'contest this CCJ, giving my defence'.
Nothing will show up on his credit file so long as he defends in full. Depending on amount he could instruct solicitors to defend. Even if this is small claims, there could be an argument to claim costs given that the claim is utterly unconnected to the 'defendant'.
Firstly and most importantly, the OP must contact the claimant and demand they withdraw the claim otherwise lawyers will be instructed.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
