    hi there
    I have a charge on my property since 2008 I had a direct debit set up they were taking a installment its been 4 years they have not taken a payment i have enquired the company as gone into receivership and taken over by another company I contacted them no response tbe contact number is dead line.
    how do I get the charge removed i hace no paperwork either.
    Is it true after 12 years it gets removed .
    What form should I fill in and how much is the fee please. Thank you

    A charge stays on the property until its sold it doesn’t get removed after twelve years. If you would name the companies I will check them out for you.

      Sorry but that's not quite right. A charge doesn't only stay until the property is sold. It can be removed if the underlying debt or judgment is satisfied, or if the charge is placed there as a result of fraudulent activities then the land registry can remove it per Goldharp properties.
