  • Threatening letter

    Hi
I'm new to the forum and I've signed up because I received the letter (attached below) in the post.

I don't know what I should do about this, as this is the first time I've had a letter from Lowells and I did not receive the court documents that should have been sent.

The news about the CCJ is not a surprise as I had been told about this when I applied for a job that required a credit check back in 2018. It was the first I knew about this but as I planned to return to college I felt that trying to get it set aside was not worth the fee and as I said this letter was the first letter I've had from Lowells. The date on the CCJ is 28 July 2015.

I was also under the impression that another agency was collecting on this debt and I had made an agreement with them which has since been settled as of 2017.

Any advice or guidance would be very welcome.

Thanking all who respond in advance

    Geepster.

What was the date of your last contact with either debt collection agency and what was the date of the last payment? The reason I ask is this debt could soon be statute barred.
