  • Judgement for claimant in default - next steps advice

    Hi,

I received a Judgement for claimant in default on 17th Dec 20. I had submitted an acknowledgement of service albeit a bit late this was due to me self-isolating due to having an operation. In hindsight I should have sent this acknowledgement earlier and not left it to the last min.

I just need a bit of advice, if I pay the full amount within the month does this mean that a CCJ would not be recorded against my credit file? At all costs I want to avoid any entries to my credit file.

    Thanks

Yes pay it and get a record from the claimant that it has been paid.
